Description
The concept of Beam N Art by PC Pixel Art, “1960 World Series, Pittsburgh Pirates 7th Game starting Line-up on the Beam overlooking Forbes Field from the Cathedral of Learning.” Sitting on the Beam from left to right is #9 Bill Mazeroski, #6 Smoky Burgess, #24 Dick Groat, #14 Rocky Nelson, #4 Bob Skinner, #18 Bill Virdon, #21 Roberto Clemente, #12 Don Hoak, #32 Vern Law, and Coach #40 Danny Murtaugh.
Paul used this theme, plus pieces of hundreds of photos, blending everything together to create this unique piece of art. The concept of this art originated from a very famous picture, “Lunch atop a Skyscraper.” Lunch atop a Skyscraper is an iconic photograph taken in 1932 of 11 construction workers seated along a crossbeam of the ironwork of the RCA building, 30 Rockefeller Plaza, in Manhattan, New York City.
